UEGF - United European Gastroenterology Federation
The UEGF is a professional medical non-profit organisation comprising all of the major European societies with an interest in disease of the digestive system, including the oesophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas, intestine and bowel. The European societies that make up the Federation include medicine, surgery, paediatrics and endoscopy. UEGF is the most comprehensive organisation of this kind in the world and our affiliated societies represent over 22.000 European specialists.
The goals of the United European Gastroenterology Federation are: to advance science and education in gastroenterology and hepatology for the benefit of public health; to promote and co-ordinate, throughout Europe and beyond, discussion and exchange of ideas and results relating to the diagnosis, treatment, research and prevention of diseases; and to provide a suitable medium for the dissemination and discussion of the latest results in the field of gastroenterology and hepatology and related subjects.
